: The collection of the fetal neural tissues was authorized by the Ethical Committee of the “Fondazione IRCCS Casa Sollievo della Sofferenza” research hospital (Protocol Number 01/CE 25th January, 2012), title “Isolamento e standardizzazione di linee cellulari staminali neurali umane secondo i metodi di buona fabbricazione, attraverso “neurosphere assay o tecnica delle neurosfere” per la messa a punto di terapie sperimentali per le malattie neurodegenerative” (Isolation and standardization of human neural stem cell lines according to good manufacturing practices, through “neurosphere assay” or neurosphere technique for the development of experimental therapies for neurodegenerative diseases). Each donor provided written informed consent to the tissue collection only after the foetus death.
