: Human placental tissues used in this study were obtained from patients who provided written informed consent for the donation and research use of their biological samples. The collection and use of these tissues were conducted in accordance with institutional ethical guidelines and approved by BioTissue, Inc. The title of the project is “Human Placental Use in Human Corneal Tissue Regeneration and Therapy” and was approved on June 30, 2015. Human corneal tissues used in this study were obtained from deceased donors through an accredited eye bank. All donations were made in accordance with applicable ethical guidelines and regulations. Written informed consent for donation and research use of tissues was obtained from donors’ legally authorized representatives prior to tissue procurement. The study protocol was reviewed and approved by BioTissue Inc. and Florida Lions Eye Bank. The title of the project is “Human Corneal Use in Reprogramming Human Corneal Fibroblasts into Neural Crest Progenitors” and was approved on January 15, 2018.
