Ethics approval and consent to participate: The study has been approved by the appropriate institutional research ethics committee and has been performed in accordance with the ethical standards as laid down in the 1964 Declaration of Helsinki and its later amendments or comparable ethical standards. The induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) lines used in this study were generated from a healthy donor, as previously reported [76]. The participant provided written informed consent for participation in the study and for the collection, use, and generation of iPSC lines derived from their samples. Ethical approval for the generation and use of these iPSC lines was obtained from the Institutional Review Boards of Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC; no. 17291/17) and the Qatar Biomedical Research Institute (QBRI; no. 2017-007), Qatar.
