: The cohort and intervention protocol described in the present study have been previously reported in related publications focusing on different research objectives, including overall metabolomic changes following the intervention, insulin resistance phenotypes, proteomic remodeling, and inter-individual variability in weight loss response. The current manuscript addresses a distinct scientific question, specifically sex-differential metabolic responsiveness to short-term exercise intervention, employing linear mixed-effects models and predictive metabolomic modeling approaches that were not applied in the previous studies. There is no duplication of primary results, statistical models, or interpretations between the present manuscript and prior publications.
