: These data were a subset of those collected from a prospective study conducted at the Diabetes Care Unit, Fondazione Policlinico Agostino Gemelli in Rome, Italy. The original protocol was approved by the local Ethics Committee (ref. 51266/19) and was conducted according to the Declaration of Helsinki. Each subject signed the appropriate informed consent form before any study activity was undertaken. All subjects were being treated with metformin only. All CGM datasets were recorded between November 2021 and March 2022 with a Medtronic Guardian Connect System (Medtronic, Northridge, CA).
