Declarations
:
: Experiments in mice were performed under ethical license number DEC 14080 (10-07-2014) of Leiden University. Zebrafish lines were handled in accordance with the local animal welfare regulations and maintained according to standard protocols (ExternalRef removed). This local regulation serves as the implementation of Guidelines on the protection of experimental animals by the Council of Europe, Directive 86/609/EEC, which allows zebrafish embryos to be used up to the moment of free-living (5 days after fertilization). Since embryos used in this study were no more than 5 days old, no license is required by the Council of Europe (1986), Directive 86/609/EEC or the Leiden University ethics committee.
