: Human liver biopsies were obtained from patients diagnosed with liver fibrosis, cirrhosis, and hepatic hemangioma at the Shanghai Eastern Hepatobiliary Surgery Hospital (Additional file InternalRef removed: Tables S4 and S5)[CitationRef removed]. Informed consent was obtained from each patient, and the study protocol was approved by the Clinical Research Ethics Committee of Shanghai Eastern Hepatobiliary Surgery Hospital. The diagnosis of liver fibrosis and cirrhosis was confirmed by histological examination.
