: The study will be carried out in compliance with ethical principles and relevant regulations in Burkina Faso. The protocol has been registered in ExternalRef removed with identifier ExternalRef removed. The SMC-RST study protocol was approved by the Ethical Committee for health research in Burkina Faso (Deliberation N°2021–03-059, March 10th, 2021). The local community will be informed on the purpose of the study through the community leaders and a general consent will be obtained before starting the sudy. All eligible households will receive in advance a copy of the study information sheet and the consent form from community health workers which they are welcome to discuss with all the households members and friends. A signed/thumb printed inform consent will be obtained from all participants before enrolment. For children, the parents or guardians will be asked to sign the consent to participate in the study. In addition to the consent obtained from parents / guardians, an assent will be obtained from adolescents (10 to 19 years old). A signature from an impartial adult witness present during the informed consent discussion and a thumb print of the parent/guardian will be obtained in cases where parents / guardians are illiterate.
