: This study was carried out with public data from the National Health Survey (PNS), which is the responsibility of the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) and the Oswaldo Cruz Institute (FIOCRUZ). The data were deidentified so as not to compromise the privacy of the research participants. The collection of data and the development of the research were in accordance with Resolution 196/96 of the Brazilian National Health Council, which guaranteed the voluntary participation of the participants, anonymity and the right to refuse to participate in the study at any time. The PNS project was approved by the National Research Ethics Committee (CONEP) in August 2019, process number 3529376. Furthermore, as the participants’ data were obtained from the PNS database, there was no need for additional consent.
