: This research follows the ethical principles outlined in the Declaration of Helsinki. Before its execution, it was reviewed by the Ethics Committee of Ricardo Palma University (PI 008–2022). We obtained permission from the authorities of the Chachapoyas Correctional Facility and the STI-HIV Program of the Regional Health Directorate of Amazonas to treat individuals who tested positive for an infection. The study’s purpose and procedure for collecting venous blood samples were explained during the survey, and informed consent was obtained from all participants. To protect participants’ privacy, all sensitive information that could be used to identify them was removed during data analysis. Study data was stored in a computer database to ensure confidentiality.
