: According to Swiss Federal law and hospital internal rules, quality assurance projects are exempt from ethical committee evaluation. Infection prevention projects are considered quality improvement with direct benefits to the patients and the hospital, and the tasks are usually commissioned by the hospital (hospital management, clinic management, department). This evaluation and study was conducted in agreement with the hospital’s legal service and the infection prevention committee.
