: The study was approved by the National Institute for Medical Research in Dar es Salaam (Vol. IX/3106) and the Kilimanjaro Christian Medical University College Research Ethics and Review Committee in Moshi, Tanzania (No. 2415). Approvals from local Medical Officers and Administrators were obtained as previously described []. All participants were given oral and written information of the study in Kiswahili (Additional file ) and gave their written consent to partake. The results will be shared at public seminars in Moshi rural and urban districts, involving parents, healthcare workers and stakeholders.
