: Study participants were briefed on the study’s aims and objectives including the benefits and risks of participation. All participants were allowed ask questions before providing their consent, and were told they could withdraw from the study at any time. Participants were assured all data collected from their farms would remain anonymous with identifying information uploaded to separate databases. Permission to conduct the study was obtained by the AMREF Health Africa Ethics and Scientific Review Committee (AMREF-ESRC P551/2020). Data were stored securely on password-protected devices accessible only to the study team.
