: This investigation has been conducted in accordance with ethical principles according to the World Medical Association Declaration of Helsinki and according to the laws of Germany. The Ethics Committee of the University of Giessen approved the use of teeth for research purposes in AZ. 143/09. After the teeth were extracted, the patients gave their verbal informed consent to the clinic to use the teeth for research purposes. This was noted in the medical records.
