: Protocols and sample collection from Argentinean healthy individuals without personal or family history of DM or autoimmune diseases, Argentinean Type 1 Diabetic and/or Celiac patients were approved by the Ethics Committee of the Hospital de Clínicas José de San Martín, Universidad Buenos Aires (UBA), Buenos Aires, Argentina and the Ethics Committees of the Hospital Nacional de Pediatría R. Gutiérrez, Buenos Aires, Argentina, respectively. All subjects were informed about the purpose of the study, and a signed consent for study participation was obtained.
