: This research, conducted as part of a doctoral degree at Lund University, complies with ethical principles, good research practice guidelines, and legal requirements relevant in Sweden, as well as the ethical standards mandated in Zimbabwe. Although the Swedish Ethical Review Authority did not require separate approval for this specific Ph.D. study, ethical clearance was obtained through the larger FORMAS-funded Farmer Organization Models for Prospering Smallholder Farmers (FOMPO) project (Grant No. 2020-00397). Permission to conduct the research was granted by the Zimbabwe Smallholder Organic Farmers Forum (ZIMSOFF), local authorities, and traditional leaders.
