: The chicken experimentation protocol was approved by the Institutional Animal Ethics Committee (IAEC), IISER Kolkata. All procedures were conducted following the guidelines of the Committee for Control and Supervision of Experiments on Animals (CCSEA), the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Government of India. The permit number for the in vivo chicken experiment is IISERK/IAEC/AP/2023/108, and for using chick embryos is IISERK/IAEC/AP/2023/107.All procedures followed the institutional guidelines with prior approval from the Institute Biosafety Committee (IBSC), IISER Kolkata. The IBSC approval number for using Campylobacter jejuni is IISERK/IBSC/2019/02, and the Lactococcus lactis is IISERK/IBSC/2019/022.
