: This study was approved by the National Ethics Committee of Cameroon (No. 2019/01/UDM/PR/CIE), the Ministry of Public Health and the Ministry of Basic Education. Parasitological surveys were conducted in the 10 schools with the approval of local administrative authorities, school inspectors, directors and teachers. All <i>Schistosoma</i>-positive children were treated with a single oral dose of praziquantel (40 mg/kg body weight).
