: This study involved a clinical and quality audit of a routinely delivered clinical service provided by a child and adolescent psychiatry unit. Given this context, review and approval by a research ethics committee were attained, but we followed the institutional (BUP, Levanger) and Norwegian health ethics (REK) guidelines. Human ethics and consent to participate declarations: Not applicable.
: The consent form allowed patients to decide whether to grant hospital permission to use their clinical data anonymously for clinical and quality audit purposes. Written informed consent was obtained from both parents and children aged 16 years and above.
