: This review shows that peer attachment is linked to disordered eating behaviours and may influence the development of eating disorders. Insecure attachment is associated with more severe symptoms, while secure attachment is also connected to these behaviours. These findings highlight the need for further research and suggest that improving peer attachment and refining school educational programmes on body image and eating behaviours could help reduce disordered eating symptoms and support better outcomes.
