: The study was conducted in accordance with the principles of Good Clinical Practice and the Declaration of Helsinki (version of the 64th WMA General Assembly, Fortaleza, Brazil, October 2013) (World Medical Association, 2013). Prior to commencing the study, approval was obtained from the Ethics Committee of the Area Vasta Emilia Nord (prot. No.: 0012376/23 of 19/04/2023) and authorization was granted by the Health Director of the USL company of Modena (Practice: 35/2023/OSS/AUSLMO in the meeting of 18/04/2023). Written informed consent was obtained from all enrolled individuals (caregivers and individuals treated for ED). Additionally, whenever feasible, the enrolled subject's general practitioner or free choice paediatrician was informed about the proposed study.
