Ethics approval and consent to participate

: The Ethics Committee of the Finnish Institute of Occupational Health has granted approval for this study (1st September 2017, Approval Number Kalakoski_07_17). Participants in the interviews and workshops provide written informed consent. For the e-survey parts of the study, informed consent consists of a link to the study information letter in the invitation, with the statement that entering and sending responses to the survey constitutes agreement to participate in the study. Data are not collected anonymously due to the need to combine data from several stages. The confidentiality of the participants is protected by storing identifying information separately from other data; all data are handled in accordance with the Finnish Personal Data Act (523/1999). The Finnish Institute of Occupational Health (FIOH) is the data controller. Participation takes place during working hours and the participants are insured by their employer; no side effects or serious risks are expected from participation in the CE or the RS interventions, nor in the passive control group. The workshop material and the survey feedback letter include a suggestion to contact supervisors and/or occupational health care services, if the participant wishes to discuss personal stress and recovery issues. All authors will be given access to the data sets. All results will be reported and published in peer-reviewed journals, without any identifiable information concerning the participants or the organizations. The authorship eligibility guidelines of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors are followed (available from: ExternalRef removed).
