The University of Michigan Health Sciences and Behavioral Sciences Institutional Review Board conducts an annual review of the Panel Study of Income Dynamics (PSID) data collection and distribution protocols and survey instruments to ensure the rights and welfare of its research participants are protected. The PSID obtains informed consent from all participants. The Office of Research Compliance at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte determined that this analysis did not require Institutional Review Board approval.
