: The study was conducted in accordance with the Declaration of Helsinki, and approved by the Ethics Committee of the Bilingual Cognition and Development Lab at Guangdong University of Foreign Studies (protocol code BCDL-202205_003 on 12 December 2022). All methods were carried out in accordance with relevant guidelines and regulations, and all experimental protocols were approved by the Lab. All participants took part in the study voluntarily, and informed consent was obtained from participants above 16 or their parents for those who were under 16.
