Declarations
:
: Approval by the institutional review board (IRB) of the University of Vienna was obtained for the study on November 26, 2024 (number 01250). The study will be conducted in accordance with the principles outlined in the Declaration of Helsinki []. As data collection has not begun at the time of submission, written consent has not yet been obtained. Nonetheless, in accordance with ethical standards, informed consent will be secured from adult participants prior to their involvement in the study’s questionnaire and observational components. Parents or legal guardians of eligible children will be asked to provide written informed consent, and assent will be sought from the participating adolescents themselves. Only individuals who have completed informed consent will be allowed to participate. This study is subject to the current provisions of the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Austrian adaptation regulations in their current valid version. As the observation data (i.e., video recordings), collected as part of the study, cannot be completely anonymized, they are treated with a particularly high level of care. For instance, raw data are stored in pseudonymized form on a secure, access-controlled server at the University of Vienna, with a temporary allocation list linking video and questionnaire data permanently deleted after coding.
