: This study was conducted in accordance with the Declaration of Helsinki and Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences in Tehran, Iran’s Ethics Committee (code IR. SBMU.PHNM.1394.176) gave its approval to the study design. All participants were informed about the purpose and objectives, data confidentiality and participants’ freedom to leave the study at any stage. The women, who signed the informed consent form, participated in this study. After the data collection was finished, participants in the control and intervention groups were referred to the mental health clinic. The study was registered with the Iranian Registry of Clinical Trials (IRCT) under the registration code (IRCT2016020825051N2).
