: This research was reviewed and approved by the Higher Degrees and Research Ethics Committee of Makerere University School of Public Health. Confidentiality of participant information was guaranteed using an anonymized database. Informed consent was obtained from all study participants. To protect respondents disclosing IPV, female research assistants conducted one-on-one interviews, and confidentiality was strictly upheld. Participants reporting IPV were offered immediate no-cost access to a police hotline and referred to psychosocial support services through the gender-based violence (GBV) Prevention Network. We referred participants with symptoms of probable depression to government health facilities for further evaluation. The study adhered to the principles of the Declaration of Helsinki. Informed consent was obtained from all individual participants included in the study.
