: Ethical approval and consent to participate in the research ethics committee institutional review board of faculty of Nursing, Ain Shams University approved the study proposal (ID. NUR1. 25.01.527). Participants signed an informed consent form before beginning the research. The study’s objectives, confidentiality, and anonymity were described, and volunteers were given full authority to complete the questionnaire. All methods were carried out in accordance with relevant guidelines and regulations.The Alcohol Abstinence Self-Efficacy Scale (AASE; DiClemente et al., 1994) is a publicly available research instrument. Permission for its use was therefore not required; however, the original source has been cited and full acknowledgment provided. The categorization of self-efficacy levels was based on study-specific thresholds rather than established norms. Therefore, results should be interpreted with caution.
