Ethics approval and consent to participate: The PeerScreen trial was approved by the Regional Committees on Health Research Ethics for Southern Denmark (S-20250078), any amendments to the trial design (e.g. inclusion criteria or intervention) will be submitted for review the Regional Committees on Health Research Ethics for Southern Denmark, and potential changes will not be implemented before written approval such amendments has been received. Written informed consent will be obtained prior to participation in the trial. Participants aged 15–24 years will provide written informed consent, while participants aged 13–15 years will provide verbal consent. For all participants younger than 18 years of age, their parents or legal guardians must also provide written informed consent for participation.
