Ethics approval and consent to participate: All methods and analyses were conducted under the relevant guidelines and regulations, and the study protocol was approved by the Research Ethics Committee of Baqiyatallah University of Medical Sciences (IR.BMSU.BAQ.REC.1404.063). This trial was registered in the Iranian Registry of Clinical Trials (Trial registration identifier: IRCT20170417033485N2, registered on 2025/07/25). All participants were screened through a brief clinical interview to verify the absence of neurological and psychiatric disorders. Before enrollment, each participant received information regarding the study procedures and provided written informed consent in accordance with ethical research standards. This study fully complies with the CONSORT standard guidelines for reporting clinical trials. The flow of participants through the trial is summarized in a CONSORT flow diagram, in accordance with CONSORT guidelines.
