Ethics approval and consent to participate: As Hebei Agricultural University, China, does not maintain a centralized university-level ethics committee, ethical oversight and approval responsibilities are officially delegated to its secondary colleges. Accordingly, the protocol for the project titled “A Study on the Influence Mechanism of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) on College Students’ Perception of Educational Equity” was reviewed and formally approved by the academic and administrative boards of the College of Science and Technology and the Humanities and Management School, Hebei Agricultural University. This formal approval is certified by the signatures of the respective college leaders and the official institutional seals. The introduction of the questionnaire outlines the research objectives, the scope of information collection, and assurances of data confidentiality. Participants were required to read the questionnaire introduction and then complete a written informed consent form. Based on this, the research poses minimal ethical risks. All methods were carried out in accordance with relevant guidelines and regulations, including the Declaration of Helsinki.
