: All procedures performed in studies involving human participants were in accordance with the ethical standards of the University of Iowa Institutional Review Board, the University of Pittsburgh Institutional Review Board, the Independent Ethics Committee, the Belgian Health Authorities and with the 1964 Helsinki declaration and its later amendments or comparable ethical standards. All patients signed written consent documents before participating in their respective studies. All data obtained from the TCGA and the GEO database is completely anonymized and available to the public, therefore, further approval for its use was not required.
