: All field work procedures like monitoring of white-tailed eagle nests or ringing of nestlings were conducted following the ethical guidelines of the Ringing Centre of the Finnish Museum of Natural History that issues licenses from the Centre of Economic Development, Transport and the Environment. The collection of adult feather samples was licensed by the Centre of Economic Development, Transport and the Environment (VARELY/985/2016, VARELY/971/2018).
