Ethics approval and consent to participate
: All procedures were performed in strict accordance with the European Directive 2010/63/EU on the protection of animals used for scientific purposes. The protocols were approved by the Committee on Animal Care and Use at the University of Antwerp, Belgium (permit number 2014–76). All animals were housed in a room in constant temperature (22 ± 2 °C) and humidity (55 ± 10%), with a 12 h light/dark cycle (light on at 07:00 AM) and free access to food and water available ad libitum. All efforts were made to ensure animal welfare.
