: Institutional review board approval for brain donation was obtained through the Boston University Alzheimer’s Disease Center CTE program and the Bedford Veterans’ Affairs hospital. Institutional review board approval for post-mortem review of clinical records, family member interviews and neuropathological analysis was obtained through Boston University School of Medicine. Consent for tissue donations was attained from the subject or a family member and is part of a larger brain bank collaboration (VA-BU-CLF Brain Bank,).
