: This study only used hippocampal sections and paraffin blocks of human cadavers, obtained from the archives of Seattle Children’s Hospital, Department of Pathology. Since this study was completely based on cadaveric brain samples and relevant clinical history, the Institutional Review Board (IRB) of Seattle Children’s Hospital determined that this was not research involving human subjects, and hence was exempted from full IRB review and approval.
