: Sampling of patients’ blood and the use of human post-mortem brain tissue were approved by the Regional Committees on Health Research Ethics for Southern Denmark (Journal numbers S-20160152G, S-20160037, and S-20080042) and the projects were reported to the Danish Data Protection Agency. Eligible patients and controls donating blood provided written informed consent prior to study participation according to the Declaration of Helsinki. Patient information was gathered from patient journals after consent had been given.
