: The retrospective human cohort study was approved by the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center Institutional Review Board (IRB) and was performed in accordance with the ethical standards as established in the 1964 Declaration of Helsinki and its subsequent amendments or comparable ethical standards. The eyes from deceased AD patients were obtained from Rush University’s Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center (ADRC ORA# 18011111).
