: Human brain tissues were obtained from the Birth Defects Research Laboratory at the University of Washington with ethics board approval and maternal written consent (STUDY00000380). Human brain tissues were used in the current study in accordance with ethical and legal guidelines of the Rutgers University’s institutional review board (Pro2020001576). Human post-mortem brain samples with chronic active MS and healthy controls were obtained from the UK Multiple Sclerosis Tissue Bank at Imperial College London and received ethical approval from the National Research Ethics Committee in the UK (08/MRE09/31).
