Ethics approval and consent to participate
: All data used in this study were collected from pet dogs with informed owner consent for the purpose of detecting familial cardiac disease in the breed. The cardiac screening examinations were performed at the request of the pet owner and as part of The Irish Wolfhound Foundation sponsored screening events and no testing was performed for research purposes. Thus, no institutional animal care and use committee approval was required.
