Ethics approval and consent to participate
: SCOTS has received a favourable ethical opinion from the West of Scotland Research Ethics Committee, and full management approval at each hospital site.SCOTS has full consent for the longitudinal cohort study at the level of the individual patient (granted by West of Scotland Research Ethics Committee) and full management approval and sponsorship from NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde. The work outlined herein was part of SCOTS. However, for this particular part of SCOTS, patient specific consent was not required as the work involved describing services and patient data was not used.
