: This study was conducted in accordance with the ethical standards set forth in the 1964 Helsinki Declaration and its subsequent amendments or comparable ethical standards. Hatay Mustafa Kemal University Ethics Committee (27.07.2020- No:2) approval was obtained for this study. Written permission was obtained from the Turkish Muay Thai Federation Presidency for participation in the championship. All athletes participating in the study were informed about the study and an informed consent form was obtained verbally and in writing for all data to be obtained during the tournament. In addition, since the detailed championship information on the open access IFMA official website used for post-tournament evaluation in our study was anonymized, additional written informed consent was not required.
