: The North Pole study was approved by the National Ethics Committee of Luxembourg (CNER N°200803/05) and conducted in accordance with the Declaration of Helsinki and national regulations. Written informed consent was obtained from patients or their legal representatives when applicable. The TTM trial was conducted in compliance with national regulations and the Declaration of Helsinki. Ethical approval was obtained through national procedures in participating countries, and consent was either waived or obtained from patients or their families as required.
