: Ethical approval was granted by the Swedish Ethical Review Authority (approval 2020-01302 and 2012/753-31/2). Informed consent was obtained from the patients in accordance with the Declaration of Helsinki. Patients that could not give consent prior to study enrolment were approached for consent retrospectively within 90 days, for non-survivors consent was assumed. Participation in this study was voluntary, and consent could be revoked at any moment. The subjects did not face any medical risks due to medical interventions or diagnostic tests. For the blood samples minimal amounts of blood were drawn from previously inserted venous lines.
