: This clinical pilot study was approved by the Ethics Committee (EK Nr. EK 167/13) of the Medical Faculty of RWTH Aachen University and was conducted following the ethical standards of the Declaration of Helsinki. All patients provided informed consent prior to inclusion in the study.

: Gregor Slavicek and Florian Slavicek are CEOs of Orehab Minds GmbH, the company that developed and provided the objective masticatory function tests used in this study. Their dual role as study authors and company executives may represent a potential conflict of interest, particularly regarding data interpretation and outcome reporting related to masticatory function. The authors affirm, however, that data collection, analysis, and interpretation were performed independently and that all efforts were made to minimize bias.
