Ethics approval and consent to participate

: Ethical clearance was obtained from the Institutional Review Board (IRB) of St Paul’s Hospital Millennium Medical College.Letters of permission were also secured before the field work from Arsi Zone Education and Health Departments, and Chole District education Office. Moreover, informed oral consents were obtained from the selected school principals and concerned teachers. Informed written consents were obtained from the respective parents and/or legal guardians of participating children before data collection.Ethical considerations were well observed and the objectives of the study were clearly communicated to the parents and/or guardians. In addition, before obtaining the oral consents and written assents accordingly, the study subjects and parents /guardians were assured that their names and the names of their respective children wouldn’t be mentioned; and the data will be used only for the study purpose. Furthermore, privacy and confidentiality of the collected information were also ensured at all levels.
