Ethics approval and consent to participate
: Ethical clearance was obtained from the ethical review committee of Debremarkos University, College of Health Sciences with Ref. No. HSC/R/com/se/p/co/158/11/2015. Letters of permission were obtained from the Gozamen district health office to selected Kebeles. Moreover, parents and legal guardians provided appropriate verbal consent for their child to take place in the study via anthropometric measurements. We obtained verbal consent instead of written from the parents and legal guardians because the ethical committee formally waived the written consent as this study was less invasive procedure and less harm to the study participants.
