: The study was conducted according to the guidelines of the Declaration of Helsinki and approved by the Research Ethics Committee of the Instituto Universitário de Ciências da Saúde. After obtaining ethics committee approval, we invited all players, their legal guardians, and the team representatives to a meeting in which we presented the project’s aims and asked them to sign an informed consent form. Players, legal guardians of players under 16, team representatives and coaches were also informed that they could revoke their agreement to participate at any time. All players were verbally informed and asked to consent before each test and intervention was conducted, even after the consent form was signed.
