: Permission to conduct the study was obtained from the Committee on Human Research, Publications and Ethics (CHRPE/AP/674/22) at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana. The study was carried out in accordance with the ethical principles of Declaration of Helsinki. Permission was obtained from leaders of the communities of study. Written informed consent of participants was also obtained. Participants were also assured of confidentiality of their responses. For mothers younger than 18 years, written informed consent was obtained from their parents. For infants and illiterate participants, written informed consent was obtained from their legal guardians/parents. Thumb-printed informed consent was obtained from the illiterate participants who were older than 16 years.
