: The Performance Monitoring for Action Ethiopia (PMA-ET) dataset provided ethical approval for the study. The Addis Ababa University School of Public Health and the Bill & Melinda Gates Institute for Population and Reproductive Health at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health conducted the nationally representative PMA-ET survey. Requests for the data were made via the website to obtain the data from PMA. After that, a letter from PMA authorizing the download of the PMA dataset was obtained. The information was not shared with any other researchers; it was just used for this investigation. There were no household or personal identifiers used in the poll, and all information was handled with confidentiality. In no way does the IRB-approved process for PMA public-use datasets permit the identification of respondents, households, or sample communities. The PMA report contained extensive material on ethical matters. Every technique and material used was done so in accordance with the applicable laws and rules.
